Special Ministries
Ministering to those with special needs

This is a ministry geared towards adults who have disabilities or special needs. Our Special Ministry Department has many different abilities; physical, mental illness, social skills, deaf, blind, etc.

Through our ministry, some are involved in Special Olympics. We also have a variety of fellowships and activities throughout the year.

For the past twenty years we have seen God work in a mighty way. It started with two in a Sunday School class. Now we have between 20-60 people in our group. At one time due to our growth, we met in two houses on the old CBC campus in downtown Jonesboro. We are not only trying to meet the needs of those in the class, but we are trying to reach out to the families. The Directors of the department are Keith and Johannah Broeffle. There are four who help in the music ministry. Nancy Germer plays the piano, Larry and Gary Churchill play guitar and David Doyle serves as worship leader. Keith Broeffle and Dewey Graves teach our lessons. There are a number of others who volunteer and are extremely helpful. Our watchword is "Everybody is a Somebody in Special Ministries", so come and join us. Help us to build relationships which can turn into friendships.
