Parent's Day Out

Central Baptist Parent’s Day Out began as a one day Mother’s Day Out in 1982 and remained a one day program until fall of 2008 when it extended to two days. Parent’s Day Out offers a variety of opportunities in helping preschoolers develop and grow by providing hands on, age- appropriate center-oriented activities for children 3 months - 4 (PreK-see below) years. Teachers use the biblically based WEE Learn Curriculum to provide learning experiences that meet the Arkansas Framework for Threes and Fours. Learning centers provide many opportunities for preschoolers to develop skills through  exploration and discovery using hands on activities. Some include:

          


•Summer Mother’s Day Out
Summer Mother’s Day Out is a one day, Thursday, program for children ages 2 - 5 years during June and July. The same philosophy and curriculum used in Parent’s Day Out is also used in the summer program.

•Parent’s Day Out - 4 year old PreK
The 4 year old PreK program is for children who have not yet attended kindergarten. The Arkansas Benchmarks for PreK are taught and integrated with the biblically based WEE Learn Curriculum for PreK. Teachers provide activities that are hands-on, engage the senses, and are driven by the child’s God-given interest and desire to explore. The learning centers provide child-initiated exploration in writing, reading, science, block, dramatic play, games, manipulatives, music and art.
               
Tuesday/Thursday: 9:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m.
