VBS Frequently Asked Questions
How old does my child need to be to participate?
Children must be at least four years old by June 1st in order to participate. VBS is open to those through sixth grade. Children under the age of four are invited to attend if their parent is serving at VBS as a volunteer.
Can my kids invite friends who don’t attend Central Baptist Church?
Yes! We love it when Central Kids & Preschoolers invite friends to come with them!
What time should we arrive?
Check-in will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the lobby. After being checked in and receiving a security tag, kids in Kindergarten - 6th grade will be dropped off in the Worship Center and preschoolers will be dropped off in the Kids Wing in their designated classroom.
Where will I pick up my child?
Your child will be picked up by an adult with the appropriate security tag in the same location as drop off.
What’s Family Night?
Family night is fun for all ages. It begins in the Worship Center with a quick recap of our week and a high energy time of family worship, followed by food and outdoor activities. This is not a drop-off night. Parents or guardians must remain with their child throughout the evening.
Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We have a place for you to help, whether it’s food, check-in, games, crafts or teaching. Click the option above to volunteer today! All volunteers must be a church member, undergo a background check and take the Ministry Safe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training.
