PARAGOULD CAMPUS
About Declan & His Call to Ministry
My name is Declan Wallace, and I am married to my wife Kelsey. We will be
married for three years in July, and our son, Crew, was born in January. I have
been in education for the past five years teaching and coaching today’s youth.
Working with students is my passion and I enjoy impacting their lives daily.
Being a teacher and coach for the last five years, I have been able to cultivate
relationships with students ages 6th-12th grade, and be a mentor in their
everyday lives. I have not only taught them educational and sports skills, but I
have also had the opportunity to teach them life skills. Throughout my time
as a teacher and coach, I have been blessed to share the gospel with
numerous students, showing them the importance of knowing Jesus as their
personal Savior.
Two years ago, I started feeling God working on my heart and giving me a
deeper passion for Him, His word, and His people. Throughout these two
years, I felt something in my soul pulling me to ministry. For a while, I didn’t
know if God was calling me to ministry or not. It was just something on my
heart that I questioned. As circumstances arose, I now truly believe God is
calling me to ministry. Moving forward, I am excited to be obedient to God’s
calling on my life and seek out His will, all while serving Him through ministry.
